Where To Watch Kimetsu No Yaiba (Demon Slayer) In Order?

When Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba came out as a manga in 2016, it quickly took the world by storm. More than 150 million books have been sold, making it the ninth best-selling manga series of all time.

The manga went on to be the best-selling book of 2019 and 2020, so it was clear that an anime would be coming soon.

Soon after the first season of the anime came out in 2019, more TV seasons and movies were made based on Koyoharu Gotouge’s original manga, which had 23 volumes and finished in 2020.

But it’s important to know that you don’t have to watch every episode of the Demon Slayer anime. Some of the episodes cover the same ground, and some of the episodes have even been combined into one long movie. It can be hard to understand…

The story is about a teenager named Tanjiro Kamado who is learning to kill demons. After his family is killed and his sister is turned into a demon, we follow his journey as he moves up the ranks of demon slayers.

The third season of Demon Slayer, which was based on the Swordsmith Village arc, has just ended, so now is a great time to catch up on everything that has happened so far.

But where can fans in the UK watch all of the seasons and the movie, and in what order do they happen?

Read on to find out how to watch the Demon Slayer movies in the right order.

How To Watch The Demon Slayer Franchise In Order?

The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba novel series has so far led to three seasons of anime and two movies that aren’t related to the main story.

The following is the best order in which to watch the seasons:

  • Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season 1
  • Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train OR Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season 2 – Mugen Train Arc
  • Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season 2 – Entertainment District Arc
  • Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba – To the Swordsmith Village OR Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba season 3 – Swordsmith Village Arc
  • Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba season 4 – Hashira Training Arc

But that’s not the only thing that matters.

If you’re new to the series, you should start with season 1 of the anime. After that, though, you’ll have more choices.

The second season of the show was broken up into two different stories, called the Mugen Train Arc and the Entertainment District Arc, respectively.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train is the first movie in the series. It tells the same story as the first half of the second season of the TV show. In fact, the movie came first, but the TV show has some new things for people who want to see something different.

How To Watch The Demon Slayer Franchise In Order?

The second picture, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Swordsmith Village, is based on the last two episodes of season 2 and the first episode of season 3. Season 3 is based on the Swordsmith Village arc of the manga in its entirety.

The fourth season will be based on the Hashira Training arc, which is a shorter and sweeter story than the Swordsmith Village arc. This could make season 4 more like a “mini” season than season 3 was.

So, fans can choose to watch the series in the way it was made, or they can enjoy the movie or watch that story arc broken up into separate episodes in season 2.

The third season of the anime show started on Crunchyroll on April 9, 2023. The last episode aired on June 18, 2023.

At the moment, there is no official word on when we can expect season 4 of Demon Slayer.

But we can make a good guess based on when things came out in the past.

The first season and the third season both started in April, while Demon Slayer: The Movie – Mugen Train and the second season both started in October. So, we could expect season 4 of Demon Slayer to air in April 2024, or if that doesn’t happen, in October 2024.
