Rick And Morty Season 7 Release Date: Get Schwifty With New Episodes This October

Adult Swim will air season 7 of Rick and Morty in October 2023. Fans are very excited for the first season of the show without Justin Roiland. Since its first season on Adult Swim in 2013, Rick and Morty has become one of the most-watched cartoon shows. The show is about Rick Sanchez, who is the smartest person in the world but doesn’t care about anything, and his grandson Morty, who is just a normal teenager who always gets into trouble. From series 1 to 6, co-creator Justin Roiland voiced both of the main characters. However, new voice artists will do those jobs for season 7.

People are excited for Rick and Morty season 7 for more than just Roiland’s departure. Rick happily wrapped up the last season with a speech that gave away a lot of information about season 7 and what will happen next. There’s a lot to think about when it comes to the story of Rick and Morty season 8, especially since Rick is closer than ever to finding Rick Prime. However, the controversy surrounding co-creator and key voice actor Justin Roiland has taken up most of the attention.

Storyline Details Of Rick And Morty Season 7

At the end of season 6, some parts of the story of Rick and Morty season 7 were shown. Season 6 does a lot to make it clear how the story of Season 7 of Rick and Morty will start. Rick says that season 7 will pick up right where season 6 left off, with the title characters visiting the parts of the galaxy that have been marked as having Rick Prime in them. Rick wants Rick Prime to pay for taking his family away, and that could be the main theme of season 7 of Rick and Morty.

But it’s also important to note that the scientist says this story will be “not every episode, Morty; could be all happening in the background, who knows.” This puts an end to any worries that the show would stop having the silly and crazy adventures that made it famous in the first place. But this also picks up a long-running plot point: Rick from Earth C-137 has been looking for the Rick version that killed his wife and daughter for decades. He has a goal now that he has that particular version of Rick back in his sights, and he is taking Morty with him to finally get revenge.

In the seventh season of Rick and Morty, Rick is trying to find Rick Prime. In a special trailer for the season, the show also announced the names of the episodes. These names are: “How Poopy Got His Poop Back,” “The Jerrick Trap,” “Air Force Wong,” “That’s Amorte,” “Unmortricken,” “Rickfending Your Mort,” “Wet Kuat Amortican Summer,” “Rise of the Numbericons: The Movie,” “Mort: Ragnarick,” plus “Fear No Mort.”

Cast Details Of Rick And Morty Season 7

The most important question about Season 7 of Rick and Morty is still who will play the role of Rick and Morty after Justin Roiland leaves. Rauland not only wrote and co-created the show, but also voiced the two main characters, as well as dozens of different versions of those two characters and a few other smaller characters, like Mr. Poopy Butt Hole. There are a few ways to change the roles: either hire a new voice actor to play both characters, or hire two different actors to voice the two main characters.

The main supporting cast, on the other hand, is likely to stay for the seventh season. People from the Smith family are also in this, like Chris Parnell as Jerry Smith on Saturday Night Live, Spencer Grammer as Summer Smith on As the World Turns, and Sarah Chalke as Beth Smith and Space Beth Smith on Scrubs. Some other players and characters from previous shows might also show up. For example, Kari Wahlgren from Teen Titans: The Judas Contract could play Jessica, Brandon Johnson from NTSF:SD:SUV could play Mr. Goldenfold, and Keith David from Gargoyles could play the President.

The sci-fi comedy Rick and Morty has also had a lot of famous people appear as guest stars, and Season 7 is likely to have a lot of known voices.

How Many Seasons Of Rick And Morty Will There Be?

Adult Swim revived Rick and Morty for 70 more episodes after the third season was a huge hit. Thirty of those episodes have already been made across seasons 4 through 6.

Co-creator Dan Harmon has said in the past that he would like to see longer seasons of the show, but for now it will only have 10 episodes. By the end of this deal, the show will have had 10 seasons.

It’s still unclear whether the show would end at that point or if the team would try to work out a new deal to keep things going. Harmon did say to The Hollywood Reporter not long ago that he would like to make a Rick and Morty movie.

He said, “My idea is to make a Rick and Morty adventure 90 minutes long, spend a lot of extra money on it, and that’s it.”

He also said, “I think it should be like Raiders of the Lost Ark. With that movie, the idea was that George Lucas already had an idea for a series about Indiana Jones, so Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark was just his biggest adventure yet.”

How many Episodes Of Rick And Morty Season 7 Are There?

Just like the previous seasons, season 7 of Rick and Morty will have 10 episodes, and the names of those episodes were recently released:

  • How Poopy Got His Poop Back
  • The Jerrick Trap
  • Air Force Wrong
  • That’s Amorte
  • Unmotricken
  • Rickfending Your Mort
  • Wet Kuat Amortican Summer
  • Rise of the Numbericons: The Movie
  • Mort: Ragnarick
  • Fear No Mort

As always, it’s not easy to figure out how the titles of these episodes relate to what will happen, but we’re sure that fans will be able to do so once they’ve all played.
