What Is the Release Date of ‘Invincible’ Season 2?

The second season of “The Invincible” will come out on November 3, 2023. That’s not all—the second season of Invincible will be split in two, with the second part showing in 2024. Amazon has confirmed that there will be a second and third season of Invincible. Amazon Prime renewed Kirkman and his team for a second season of Invincible while the first season was still running. This showed that the streaming giant had faith in Kirkman and his team.

Invincible Season 2 Storyline: What To Expect!

There aren’t many specifics about what will happen in Invincible season 2, but the original books by Robert Kirkman and the trailers for the show before its November 2023 release date give us some ideas. The main story points of season 2 of Invincible will be the Sequids’ plan to take over Earth, Titan’s efforts to grow his crime organization, Allen’s adventures in space, and Mark’s problems with Cecil’s ways of doing things. The Sequids are expected to be the main focus, since they attacked Mars at the end of season 1.

There’s also the side story of Omni-Man going back to space and maybe meeting up with the Viltrumites again. They still need to take over a planet, and Omni-Man giving up on his task must have consequences. But the main story will probably be about introducing Angstrom Levy, a bad guy from the comics who can go to other worlds and blames Invincible for what happened to him. This is what the trailers for season 2 of Invincible show.

What’s the Comic Book History Behind ‘Invincible’?

As we already said, Robert Kirkman wrote and drew the original comic book series Invincible. Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley did the art. The comic book was produced by Image Comics and had 144 issues that told its story. It ran from 2003 to 2018. Kirkman wrote all of the episodes for the show and is now helping to move the brand forward with the Prime Video animated show and the live-action movie that is currently being made. The comic book version of Invincible is a little different from the animation show. The plots are the same, but the events happen in a different order, and there is more blood and violence in the show.
